o2: Get free cinema vouchers - how it works

Every Thursday, o2 sends you to the cinema almost free of charge: As a contract customer, you receive free cinema vouchers every month. This gives you two tickets for the price of one in over 100 cinemas in Germany. In this article, you can find out how to get the vouchers and whether there is a catch.

o2 cinema day: Request free vouchers

You can request your personal voucher code every Thursday from 10 a.m. To do this, however, you must be a contract customer with o2. Prepaid card users do not benefit from the offer.

1. To do this, open this o2 website in your browser on the Thursday you want to go to the cinema.
2. Then enter your zip code and select the radius in which your cinema is located.
3. Now you can select your desired cinema from a list. Then click on "Save code".
4. Log in to o2 with your contact details and click on "Participate".
5. You will then receive your voucher as a QR code. Alternatively, you can have the code sent to you by SMS or email.
6. Show the QR code you received later at the cinema box office to receive your second cinema ticket free of charge.
7. Note: Please note that o2 only gives cinema vouchers for Cinemaxx, Cineplex, CineStar and UCI cinemas. In addition, depending on the status at o2, you will only receive a maximum of three vouchers per month.

o2: Stream movies for free

If you don't feel like going to the cinema, you don't have to do without the o2 offer. The network operator also offers free vouchers for the streaming website Videobuster.de. Depending on your status, you will also receive this up to three times a month.

1. To do this, go to the o2 streaming page and click on "Participate".
2. Your voucher code appears immediately on the website. Copy it with the key combination [Ctrl] + [C] and click on "Redeem voucher".
3. Then log in with your account data or register with Videobuster. In both cases, thanks to the voucher, you will not be charged.
4. After registration, enter your voucher code and start playback.
