Overview of the roaming tariffs
In this practical tip, we give you an overview of the current o2 roaming tariffs. o2 currently offers two international tariffs.
World Zone Pack: Make calls and send SMS abroad
If you only want to make short calls and / or like to send SMS, you should use the World Zone Pack. In this overview we list the prices for Zone 1 (all countries of the EU) and Zone 2 (Andorra, Isle of Man, Jersey, Switzerland).
- Calls to Germany and within the same zone in the same country cost around 22 cents per minute (Zone 2: 54 cents).
- Incoming calls are also charged. These cost 0.0595 euros per minute (Zone 2: 0.26 euros)
- Sending an SMS costs you 0.0714 euros with this pack (Zone 2: 0.39 euros). An MMS will be charged at 69 cents in zones 1 and 2.
Travel option: For regular phone calls abroad
With the travel option, you can drive longer conversations better than with the World Zone Pack.
- For calls to Germany and within the same zone of the same country, you pay 75 cents per call and then 19 cents per minute. In Zone 2, the tariff behaves exactly like with the World Zone Pack, namely 54 cents per minute is charged.
- Incoming calls cost you a one-time fee of 75 cents, from the 61st minute an additional 15 cents per minute. In Zone 2 you can use this tariff to make incoming calls for 26 cents per minute.
- Sending SMS with this tariff costs 10 cents (zone 2: 39 cents) and 69 cents for an MMS (the same in zone 2).
Travel Day Pack by o2 - roaming for smartphone users
For surfing abroad, o2 recommends this pack for smartphone users.
- With this tariff you have a daily volume of 50 MB.
- The speed is reduced after 50 MB. However, you can also book the tariff again on the same day.
- The tariff costs 1.99 euros per calendar day.
Mobile internet abroad from o2 - roaming for low data usage
This tariff is recommended for low data usage, such as receiving daily emails only.
- The billing is based on consumption. Receiving 1 MB costs you 0.2380 euros
- You can pay a maximum of EUR 59.50 per billing period.
- The costs arise only when used.
