With O2 You, O2 is offering a new tariff in autumn 2019. In this practical tip, we explain how the tariff works and what is so unique about it.
O2 You tariff with a lot of flexibility
With the new O2 tariff, you can make the conditions for your contract relatively flexible.
- The O2 You tariff is a combination of a flex contract from the mobile phone provider with a cell phone purchase contract for installment payments.
- You can specify how high the down payment for the cell phone should be. You also determine in how many monthly installments you want to pay off your mobile phone. You can choose between 6, 12, 24 and 36 months.
- You can also customize the data volume. Here you have the choice between 1, 2, 10, 20, 30, 60 GB or alternatively an unlimited data volume. These factors then make up the monthly costs for the tariff and the mobile phone.
- The highlight: O2 does without the usual 24-month term. You can cancel your mobile tariff monthly. Then you only have to pay the installments for the mobile phone. This is the main difference to the O2 Free tariff.
- It doesn't really make sense, however, because O2 grants you a monthly discount for the entire installment payment for your mobile phone. This discount does not apply if you cancel the tariff before paying off the mobile phone.
- As soon as the smartphone has been paid off according to the specified installment plan, the O2 You discount also does not apply. Then you pay the agreed costs for your chosen wireless tariff.
