If the above instructions do not work, you can also make the change manually in the registry:
- Press the [Windows] and [R] keys simultaneously so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "regedit" and confirm with "OK". Then the registry editor starts.
- Navigate to the following path on the left: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 15.0 \ Common \ Graphics
- If the "Graphics" folder does not exist, right-click on "Commons" and create the folder using "New" and "Key".
- Open the "Graphics" folder and right-click on the free space on the right.
- Under "New" select "DWORD value (32-bit)" and name it "DisableAnimations".
- Then open the value by double-clicking and change the value to one (1).
- Confirm with "OK", close the window and restart Windows. The animations are then deactivated in Office 2013.
