Office 2016 vs. 365 - these are the differences
- Basically, the two offers differ in that you purchase Office 2016 once, whereas Office 365 is an annual subscription model.
- Office 365 includes the programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access. These are updated regularly with updates to the latest version. You can also use this program on several devices and with several people at the same time.
- Depending on the package, Office 2016 only includes the basic Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. These are also not supplied with new updates and are usually only available for 1-2 devices at the same time.
- Which package is worthwhile for you depends on your user behavior. As an individual who only needs the common office programs, Office 2016 is the ideal choice. However, if you want to buy Office in its full range of functions, always up to date or for several people, you need Office 365.
