With Ok Google you control your Android device with just your voice. Voice control can be deactivated if you don't want to use it. This practical tip shows you how to switch off the assistant.

If you do not need the voice assistant "OK Google", deactivate it in the Google settings.
- Open the "Google" app on your smartphone.
- Tap the symbol with the three horizontal dots at the bottom right and open the "Settings" (Image 1: Steps 1 and 2).
- Next, select the "Voice input" option (Figure 1: Step 3).
- In the next window click on "Voice Match" and then remove the checkmark at "Access with Voice Match" (Image 2: Steps 4 and 5).
- Now the Google Assistant no longer responds to commands such as "OK Google".
Turn off voice assistants completely

If you would like to completely deactivate the Google voice assistant, proceed as follows:
- First open the settings of your device and click on "Google" (Image 1: Step 1).
- Another menu opens under "Google Search, Google Assistant and Voice ..." (Image 1: Step 2).
- Now select the "Google Assistant" button (Image 1: Step 3).
- Under the "Assistant" tab you will find the "Smartphone" option, select it (Figure 2: Steps 4 and 5).
- Finally, just remove the tick from "Google Assistant" (Image 2: Step 6). Now the Google Assistant is completely deactivated for the device.
