OneDrive does not start - it could be because of that
You can access your files from anywhere on your OneDrive cloud. If the program does not start, several reasons can be responsible. Read in this practical tip what you can do about it.
OneDrive won't start - you can do that
- Open the start menu and enter "gpedit". Then click on the "Group Editor".
- Look for the entry "/ Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / OneDrive" and deactivate the option "Prevent using OneDrive for file storage". To do this, right-click on the entry and select "Deactivate".
- Now try to start OneDrive manually by double-clicking the shortcut under "% localappdata% \ Microsoft \ OneDrive \ onedrive.exe".
- If the problem cannot be solved in this way, uninstall the program completely and delete all files and folders that remain after the deinstallation.
- Then download and install the latest version of OneDrive. Now the mistake should be gone.
