OneNote: How to export your notes
With Microsoft Office OneNote you can easily and clearly take notes. They can then also be exported, for example as a PDF document. We show you how this works in our practical tip.
OneNote: Export entire notebooks or individual pages
Up to OneNote version 2013, you can choose which area of your notes you want to save:
- First, open a page in OneNote that you want to export.
- Now click on "File" at the top left and on the menu bar marked in purple on "Export".
- Choose whether you want to save the individual page, the section or the entire notebook.
- Then specify the format in which the export should take place. This can be a Word file or a PDF document, for example.
- In the last step click on "Export" and select the desired storage space on your hard disk.
OneNote 2016: Export a single page
In the current version OneNote 2016, Microsoft has restricted the export options. Thus, a greater focus should be put on sharing and editing notebooks. Nevertheless, you can still export individual pages as PDF. This is useful if a colleague of yours has no access to OneNote.
- To do this, open the corresponding page and click on "File"> "Save as PDF".
- Enter the desired storage space and confirm with "Save".
