OnePlus 3T: You need this SIM card
To use all functions of the OnePlus 3T, you need the right SIM card. In this practical tip, we will show you which format the new OnePlus needs and in which cases you can continue to use your previous SIM card.
OnePlus 3T: You need this SIM card
The OnePlus 3T was launched in late 2016 as an improved version of the OnePlus 3. As with the predecessor, you need a nano SIM card to make calls and surf the web. It is currently the smallest SIM card that only consists of the chip.
- You can order the nano-SIM from your mobile phone provider by specifying your mobile phone number. We explain how this works with Congstar, O2, ALDI Talk and Fyve, among others. The new card is free of charge at many providers, but some also charge a small fee of a few euros.
- If you have a larger SIM card, you can cut it yourself with our Nano SIM template. But be careful not to damage the chip.
- With some larger SIM cards, the template is not even necessary. You may find a perforation here, which you can use to reduce your SIM card to a nano-SIM.
Insert the SIM card in the OnePlus 3T - how it works
- On the right side of the OnePlus 3T you will find a small slot in which the nano SIM card fits.
- Open this device by pricking the hole as straight as possible with the supplied tool or a thin pin.
- As soon as the holder pops out, you can insert your SIM card and then start the phone.
