OpenOffice: Write fractions
Writing fractions in OpenOffice is easy with a little trick. So the freeware is also suitable for invoices and calculations. We explain how to insert the fractions.
Writing fractions in OpenOffice - it's that easy
- Click on "Object" in the "Insert" tab and select "Formula".
- Now the formula editor integrated in OpenOffice opens. To the left of the writing document you will see the "Elements" window. Select the fracture element here.
- In the lower area of the display you can simply write "{3} over {5}" instead of "{} over {}".
- Click again in the document, exit the formula editor. With a double click on the break you can edit it.
