OpenOffice Calc: Sort alphabetically
If you want a better overview of your tables in OpenOffice Calc, you can sort them alphabetically. In this article we show you exactly how to do this.
OpenOffice Calc: Sort alphabetically by column
- First select the entire table with the headings you want to sort.
- Then click on "Data" in the Calc menu bar and select "Sort".
- A window opens in which you can specify the sort criteria.
- Under "Sort by" select the column to be sorted alphabetically.
- If your table has more than one column, you can specify under "Then by" which column should be sorted additionally. If e.g. B. "Sort by" has the same name in two cells, then the second step is to sort by the column named here.
- You can also set up this process for a third column in the second "After" field.
Alternatively: Insert dropdown menu with Excel
You can also sort your columns perfectly with a drop-down menu. Our video shows you how this works with Excel.
