Compress OpenOffice files
- You can pack your OpenOffice file into a ZIP file. Proceed as described in this practical tip.
- With programs such as PDF24 Creator, you can combine files created with Open Office and convert them to PDF files in various quality levels.
Compress files directly via OpenOffice
- Open the corresponding file in OpenOffice and go to "File" in the menu bar.
- Select "Export as PDF" there.
- Under the "General" tab you can, for example, set "Quality" to 50 percent and reduce the file size of the PDFs you have created.
- You can also reduce the graphics resolution. Activate the option directly under the "Quality" and set about 75 dpi there.
- Finally click on "Export".
