OpenOffice: Compare documents - how it works
If you have documents in several versions, you can quickly and easily compare them with OpenOffice. We explain how this works here.
OpenOffice - Compare two documents
- Open the first document in OpenOffice.
- Click on "Edit" in the menu bar and then on "Compare document ...".
- Now select the second document in the new window.
- OpenOffice now merges both documents. This means that all differences of the second document are copied into the first and highlighted in color. In another window you can also see all the differences as a list.
- Here you can decide individually for each difference whether you want to accept or reject it.
So that you don't have to constantly compare your documents, you can use the correction mode directly in OpenOffice.
