It doesn't always have to be a white background. To change the color of your document in OpenOffice:
- With the OpenOffice document open, right-click an empty space on the page.
- Select "Page ..." in the context menu.
- Call up the third tab "Background" and select your desired color.
- Finally, click OK".
- If the document is not completely colored, set the limits for the page margins to zero in the same window under the "Page" tab.
