OpenOffice: delete empty page - how it works
This guide shows you how to delete a blank page in OpenOffice.
Delete empty page in OpenOffice: Activate control characters
Typically, blank areas and pages will remove as soon as you remove the content. If this does not work, there are still texts, graphics or other elements on the page.
- In this case activate the control characters. This works in the menu bar - the symbol looks like a mathematical formula symbol (see picture).
- Now mark everything that is still on the page. Then press the [Remove] button.
- If this is not yet successful, you have probably inserted a hard page break in OpenOffice.
- If there is a dark blue line on the head of the non-erasable page, this is a sign of such a page break.
- Place the mouse cursor at the top of the page and press the [Backspace] key (above the Enter key). The "empty" page should now be deleted.
