OpenOffice: Insert new slide in Impress
A new slide can be inserted very easily with OpenOffice and LibreOffice Impress. In principle, inserting a new slide in OpenOffice works similarly to PowerPoint and can be achieved in different ways.
New slide in OpenOffice: two options
In contrast to PowerPoint, OpenOffice Impress unfortunately does not have a key combination to insert a new slide. Nevertheless, two clicks are enough to attach an empty slide.
- Possibility 1: Click on "Insert" in the menu at the top of the window. The first entry there is "Slide". This will add a new slide to the presentation.
- Option 2: On the left edge there is an overview bar that shows all the slides in your presentation. Right-click on the free space under the slides. The "New slide" option will appear.
Tip: To change the order of the slides, you can move them in the left column from option 2 with the mouse. The newly inserted film can also be pushed to a different location.
