OpenOffice: Activate spell check
Here we show you how to activate the spell checker in OpenOffice's word processor.
Enable spell checking in OpenOffice
If you want to check your text for errors in OpenOffice, you can easily do this in OpenOffice:
- Open the OpenOffice writer.
- Write your text or copy a section into the document you want to review.
- When you are finished, click on the blue tick with the heading "ABC". Alternatively, you can press the F7 key.
- A new window opens where the spell checker shows you all the errors. To correct a word, click on one of the suggestions and then on the "Change" button.
