OpenOffice: Find and replace words

In OpenOffice you can search for words and replace all results in one fell swoop. Corrections can be done in a few seconds. We will explain the feature to you.

Find and replace words in OpenOffice

1. In the OpenOffice menu bar, click on "Edit"> "Find and Replace". Alternatively, you can use the key combination [Ctrl] + [F].
2. Now the "Search and Replace" window opens: Under "Search for" enter the word to be replaced. In the "Replace with" area, type the expression you want to use instead.
3. If the program should pay attention to "upper / lower case", then tick the box and start the search by clicking on the button of the same name.
4. You can check all the positions found individually using "Search" and "Replace". This method is particularly recommended if the expression is not to be changed in all sentences.
5. If you want to search the entire document and replace everything, click on "Find all" and then on "Replace all".
