OpenOffice Writer: Make all images the same size
Images are relatively easy to insert in the OpenOffice Writer. If you have inserted several images, you can make them the same size. We explain how this works in this guide.
Make images the same size in the OpenOffice Writer
You have the option of making your images the same size directly in the OpenOffice Writer. To do this, follow these steps.
- Insert the images one after the other as usual via "Insert"> "Image"> "From file".
- Then double-click on the first image.
- A small window opens. Here you can specify the values for the size. The "Keep aspect ratio" check box should be checked.
- Repeat this step with the other pictures and enter the value from the first picture there.
- Please note: There may be slight deviations because not all images can be scaled to the same size. You can only achieve exact results if all images have the same aspect ratio.
Make images the same size: alternative with IrfanView
Alternatively, you can pre-size the images to the same size using an image editing program such as IrfanView.
- After you have installed and started the software, open the image via "File" and "Open".
- Then click on "Image" and "Resize" above. A new dialog window opens.
- Check the box next to "New size" and enter any size. Then save the image. Note: The check mark for "Proportional" must also be set.
- Repeat these steps with all other pictures. Use the previously entered size. Here, too, you can only achieve exact results if all the images have the same aspect ratio.
- When you are finished, the images can be imported into the OpenOffice Writer.
