Rotate the picture in OpenOffice - this is how you proceed
You cannot rotate the image in OpenOffice, this is only possible in the OpenOffice application "Draw". Later insert the picture from "Draw" into the "Writer".
- Open "Draw" and click on the tab "Insert -> Image ->" From file ... ".
- Select the desired picture and confirm the selection with "OK".
- Alternatively, copy the already inserted image with [CTRL] + [C] from the document in the OpenOffice Writer and paste it into Draw again with [CTRL] + [V].
- Click on the inserted image with the left mouse button so that green squares appear at the edge of the image.
- Click on one of these squares to start the image editing mode. You will now find red circles at the corners of the picture.
- To rotate the image, hold down the left mouse button and turn the image to the desired position at a red corner.
- Right-click on the image and select "Copy" from the context menu.
- Switch to the OpenOffice Writer and insert the image with a right click and "Paste". You can also use the shortcut keys mentioned above.
- By the way, you also have to take the detour via OpenOffice Draw if you want to rotate an image in OpenOffice Calc.
Rotate image in OpenOffice Impress
An image can be rotated directly in OpenOffice Impress.
- The procedure is the same as for rotating an image in Calc.
