OpenOffice shows no zeros - what to do?
If OpenOffice shows no zeros in the decimal places, the fields are not pre-formatted for numbers. We'll show you how to set this up for OpenOffice.
Show zeros in OpenOffice
To display zeros in "OpenOffice", you have to set that the content of the cells contains numbers.
- Select the cells in which you want to display zeros.
- Right-click to open the context menu and select "Format cells".
- Under "Category" select "Number" and under "Format" the entry "1234.12". You can also experiment with the other entries, for example to get a group of digits.
- After clicking on "OK", zeros are now displayed in the selected cells.
In another practical tip, we will show you how conditional formatting works in OpenOffice Calc.
