OpenOffice: insert line numbering
In OpenOffice you can insert a practical line numbering in text documents. We explain to you in this practical tip exactly how this works.
Activate line numbering in OpenOffice - how it works
With just a few clicks you can activate the useful function and customize it with a few options.
- Open OpenOffice Writer and then click on "Tools" -> "Line Numbering".
- Now check the box next to "Turn on numbering".
- Now you can set the format in which the numbering is carried out. You can choose from Arabic or Roman numerals as well as upper or lower case letters.
- You can also adjust the interval yourself. In the example (see screenshot) an interval of five was chosen. Every five lines, the current line is now shown on the left.
Tested with OpenOffice 3.4.1. This practical tip shows you how to use documents as a template.
