OpenSSL: Show certificate - how it works
With OpenSSL you can create and sign SSL certificates yourself. In this article, we show you how to display a self-created certificate.
Show SSL certificate with OpenSSL
You can display your self-created certificate in a few steps:
- Right-click on the desktop and select "Open Terminal".
- Enter the command "sudo openssl x509 -noout -text -in /etc/sslzertifikat/beispiel.crt". Replace "/etc/sslzertifikat/beispiel.crt" with the location of your certificate.
- You will now see your certificate with all important parameters such as the data of the issuer and the validity.
