If you want to transfer your bookmarks created in Opera to another browser, you must first export them. We will show you how to do this here.
Export Opera bookmarks as HTML files
To save your bookmarks or use them in other browsers such as Firefox or Chrome, it is best to export them as an HTML file. Unfortunately, Opera has removed the corresponding function in newer versions of the browser. You must therefore first install a suitable extension such as "Bookmarks Import & Export":
- Visit the download page of Bookmarks Import & Export in Opera and click on the green button "add to Opera" on the right.
- The new extension should now start automatically. Alternatively, you can also open it using the new icon in the browser bar.
- Click the "EXPORT" button. The HTML file with your bookmarks is then saved in your download directory with the name "Bookmarks.html".
- For older versions of Opera select "Manage bookmarks" and then "popup: file".
