If you create folders on your Android homescreen, you can sort similar apps into groups. We show you how to do this in this practical tip.
Create folders on the Android homescreen
- Tap an icon for a few seconds until you can move it.
- Put the icon over another app. As soon as you take your finger off the screen, Android creates a folder.
- Press the folder to open it. A selection of all apps that you have grouped appears.
Rename folder
Android automatically names new folders "Untitled Folder". You can change the name as you like.
- Open a folder by clicking on it.
- Now tap on the title at the bottom of the folder - for a new folder so on "Unknown folder".
- Now you can name the folder.
