OS X Mavericks: delete user
Under OS X Mavericks, you can delete created users at any time. We'll explain how to do it.
Delete users on OS X Mavericks
In OS X Mavericks you can remove every user and their user folder. If you save the user folder beforehand, you can restore the associated user later.
- Open System Preferences by clicking the Apple logo in the top left and then clicking "System Preferences ...".
- Select "Users & Groups" here. You will now see all registered users.
- Press the lock symbol and enter your administrator password.
- Select the user on the left that you want to delete.
- Then click on the minus symbol (see picture).
- Now you can decide whether you want to save, change or delete the user. Mark the corresponding box and select "Delete user".
Instead of constantly creating and deleting new users, you can also set up a guest account.
