OS X Mavericks: Save mail drafts - how it works
Under OS X Mavericks you can first write your emails in mail and then save them in your drafts. You can then edit these later or add attachments. You can find out how it works in our practical tip.
Save draft drafts on OS X Mavericks
- Start mail in your dock.
- Click on "Create new email" in the top left.
- Now write a new email message. If you now want to save them in your designs, press the red dot in the top left corner to exit the window.
- Now the question appears whether the email should be saved in your drafts. Click on "Save".
- In the bar on the left-hand side you will now find this design under the "Designs" folder.
- You can also save your drafts directly on your email server so that you can continue to edit your drafts from anywhere. However, this function is only available for Exchange and IMAP accounts.
- With the mail program open, select "Mail" in the top left corner next to the Apple logo and then click "Settings".
- Here you select the "Mail" tab and then click on "Mailbox behavior".
- Now check the box next to "Save drafts on server".
