You can change the style of various dashboard widgets on OS X Mavericks. In this way, you can adjust the style or colors of a widget to your own requirements. In our practical tip we explain how it works.
OS X Mavericks: Change the style of dashboard widgets
The style cannot be changed for all widgets. An indication of a possible change of style, however, is an "i" symbol on the widget (see picture). With some widgets, this symbol only appears when you move your mouse pointer over the widget.
- Open your dashboard by pressing the F3 key on your keyboard and clicking on "Dashboard" in the selection. Alternatively, you can also call up the dashboard with your trackpad by swiping four fingers to the right over your trackpad.
- Now, if available, click on the small "i" logo on a widget. For example, for the Notes widget, you can change the color and font.
- The available customization options are then displayed in the next window.
