Outlook: insert picture
In this practical tip, we will introduce you to several methods for inserting images in Outlook.
Paste picture via copy & paste in Outlook
Copy & Paste is the simplest way to paste an image into Outlook - especially if you want to copy it directly from a website, for example, without first saving it on your PC.
- Copy an image to the clipboard by right-clicking on it and selecting "copy".
- In Outlook, insert the image by right-clicking in the text area and selecting "insert". Alternatively, press the "Ctrl" and "v" keys at the same time.
- The picture appears in Outlook embedded in your mail text.
Insert an image from the computer into Outlook or attach it to the mail
Alternatively, insert a picture directly from your computer:
- Open the "Insert" tab.
- Click on "Graphics".
- Select a file from your hard drive and click "Paste".
- Alternatively, you can also insert pictures as attachments in your mail. To do this, select "Insert file" (paper clip symbol) and then attach the selected image to your email via the Explorer window.
