Outlook: group pictures and shapes
In Outlook you can group pictures and shapes for a better overview. You can find out exactly how this is done in this practical tip.
Group images in Outlook - Here's how
- In Outlook, insert all the images into the message using the "Insert" tab.
- Select the picture you want to group and right-click on it.
- In the context menu, select the option "Text Flow" and then "Square".
- Now insert a new drawing area: Switch to the "Insert" tab, click on "Shapes" and finally on "New drawing area".
- Cut out the images to be grouped by clicking "Cut" or by pressing the key combination [CTRL] + [X]. Then paste them into the drawing area with [CTRL] + [C].
- Now mark the pictures to be grouped by clicking on the respective pictures while holding down the [CTRL] key.
- Switch to the "Format" tab and click here on "Grouping" and then on "Group".
Group shapes in Outlook - so it'll work
- Insert a new drawing area as described above.
- Cut out the shapes to be grouped as above and then paste them into the drawing area.
- Then mark the shapes you want to group.
- For shapes without text: Click on "Format" under "Drawing Tools", select "Grouping" and then "Group".
- For shapes with text: Select the "Format" tab under "Text tools", click on "Grouping" and then on "Group".
