Have you accidentally deleted emails or other items in Outlook and now want to restore them? No problem, here's how to do it.
Restore from your own "trash"
Outlook comes with its own recycle bin, so that you cannot permanently delete items without asking again.
- Click on the "Deleted Items" item in the menu bar on the left.
- Now search for the deleted mail in the right half of the window - preferably via the search slot above, as you are used to from the inbox.
- Now right click on the element you want to restore. Then go to "Move" in the context menu.
- There you select the folder in which the item should appear again - usually this is "Inbox". For a more detailed overview of the folders, click on "In another folder ...", where you can also find the folder for contacts, for example.
- Of course, you can also drag and drop the element to be restored directly into the correct folder in the menu bar on the left.
The tip was carried out on a PC with Outlook 2010, the process may vary slightly for other versions.
