Outlook: share calendar
With Microsoft Outlook you can share your calendar. This is very helpful for team appointments and can save you a lot of work. There are several ways to use this function:
Share your Outlook calendar via email
If you share your calendar as an email, the recipient will see it in the inbox as an attachment to an email. The message text contains a snapshot of the calendar, which can be edited with markers, for example. To share an Outlook calendar by email:
- In the calendar menu, click on the icon with the signature "Send calendar by email" (see picture).
- A message window opens in which you can select the desired calendar and period.
Publish your Outlook calendar online
To share your calendar online, you need to register with Office.com. If you are already registered, do the following:
- Click Publish Online.
- In the window that now opens, you can select the period of time to be released, similar to how the e-mail is published.
- In addition, you can set who has access to your calendar (all or only invited people).
- After you have released your calendar, a message window opens in which you can enter the recipients who should have access to your calendar. They will then be informed of the publication by email.
