Outlook: Transfer list of safe senders
You can transfer the list of safe senders in Outlook if you want to change your PC, reinstall Office or use a second computer. We show you how it works.
Transfer list of safe senders from Outlook
The list of safe senders, like the list of blocked senders, is not in the PST file (Personal Store), but must be saved and reconstructed separately. Depending on the Outlook version, the call of the required dialog is somewhat different:
- In Outlook 2007 open the command »Actions | Junk E-Mail | Junk E-mail Options ".
- With Outlook 2010, select the "Start" tab in the ribbon, click on the "Junk E-Mail" icon in the "Delete" section and start the "Junk E-Mail Options" command there.
- You can now find the list you are looking for in the "Safe Senders" tab. Here you can first select individual entries and then »Edit«, »Remove« or manually add »Add«.
- Click "Export" to save the data. Navigate to the desired folder, enter a name for the new text file under »File name« and then click »Save«.
- You can also export the respective block list in the "Blocked senders" tab. Since they are all text files, they can be easily exchanged between the versions.
Transfer list to another PC
- To transfer the data, copy the generated text file to the other system, start Outlook and navigate to the same dialog window again.
- Now click on the "Import" button, select the TXT file and then click on "Open". The data will be integrated into the existing Outlook list without further inquiry.
