Outlook: update your inbox - how it works
You can set the intervals at which Outlook updates your inbox. There are various options for updating your emails, which we will show you below.
Manually update inbox in Outlook
To manually update your inbox, you have two options.
- Press the F9 key.
- In the menu at the top of the screen, click "Send / Receive".
Automatically update inbox in Outlook
In order for your inbox to be updated automatically, you have to set the appropriate time rhythm.
- Click on "File" and under "Options" select the menu item "Advanced".
- Under "Send / Receive" you choose "Open Send and Receive".
- Select the relevant accounts under "Settings for group" and set the time period in which Outlook should automatically update your accounts for "Automatic transmission every X minutes".
