Outlook: process does not end - what to do?
We'll show you what you can do if the process for Outlook doesn't end.
How to end Outlook process properly
If Outlook cannot be closed or the process is not ended, proceed as follows:
- Press the key combination [CTRL] + [ALT] + [DEL].
- Now select "Task Manager".
- Next, find the "Microsoft Outlook" process.
- Right click on it and select "End Task".
- If the process is not ended either, you can right-click on the task in the Task Manager to switch to the process and end it directly. But be careful not to end the wrong process and end a system process.
Windows 7 was used in the test. The instructions also fit for Windows 8 and Windows XP. On the next page, we will show you how to reset Windows Task Manager.
