Outlook: create and use quick building blocks - how it works
If you want to work as quickly and productively as possible in Outlook, you can create quick blocks and then use them. We'll show you how it's done.
Create and use quick components in Outlook
- Start Outlook and open a new mail. You can either use the "New" button or the "Ctrl" + "N" key combination.
- Now type in the text you would like to use as a quick component and mark it.
- Go to the "Insert" tab above and click on "Quick Building Blocks" under the "Text" category.
- If you select "Save selection in the quick building block catalog", a small window opens.
- Give the block a meaningful name and optionally also edit the other options (see picture).
- If you then click the "OK" button, the block is saved. This can now always be selected via the "Insert" tab under "Quick blocks".
