Outlook: Set up a series appointment
In Outlook you can not only create individual calendar entries, but also so-called series appointments, for example for weekly meetings or other recurring appointments.
Create a series appointment in Microsoft Outlook
- First switch to the "Calendar" category in Outlook.
- Go to "New appointment" in the top left menu line. A new editing window then opens.
- In the menu bar you will now find the "Series type" symbol with two circular arrows. Click on this.
- You will now see the menu window with all available options for your series appointment:
- First enter the time and duration of the appointment under "Appointment".
- Under Series samples you now select the form in which the appointment is repeated. For example, for a weekly meeting, you would enter "weekly" and then the day of the week plus the start date of the series.
- Under "Series duration" you can also determine the start and end of your appointment series if required. Then click "OK".
- Enter the additional information, such as the name for the appointment, and then click on "Save & Close" in the top left corner.
