Outlook: create standard email
If you often send emails with the same content, you can create a standard email in Outlook using a template. We'll show you how it's done.
Create standard email in Outlook
- Write the desired standard email as usual, but do not send it.
- Click on "File" in the top left corner and select the "Save As" option.
- Give the standard mail a meaningful name and select the "Outlook template" as the file type.
- Note: The standard mail is saved in the Microsoft Templates folder. You do not have to change the path.
Outlook: Open standard email
- Click the "New Items" button in Outlook under the "Start" tab.
- Under the "Other Items" category, select the "Choose Form" option.
- Click on the "Look in" menu above and click on the "Templates in the file system".
- Here you will find all the templates you have created. With a double click the standard mail opens and can be sent.
Alternatively, you can work with quick building blocks. This way, entire sections of text can be conveniently saved and, if necessary, inserted directly in the mail. Read more in the practical tip Outlook: Creating and using quick blocks.
