Outlook: Paste text from the clipboard without formatting
In this practical tip, we will show you how to paste text in Outlook from the clipboard without formatting.
Outlook: Paste text from the clipboard unformatted
If you copy a text from other programs or from websites, it always has a certain formatting. In order for the text to be inserted unformatted, you have to make a special setting:
- Click the "File" tab at the top and select the "Options".
- If you select the "E-Mail" item on the left, you will find the "Editor options" button under the "Compose messages" category.
- Go to the "Advanced" item and scroll down to the "Cut, copy and paste" category.
- At the point "Paste from other programs" you now select the option "Copy text only" (see picture).
- If you close the two windows with a click on "OK", your settings are applied.
