Outlook: Set up the XING connector
With "XING Outlook Connector" you can directly access your XING contacts from Outlook Express 2003. Here's how to set it up.
Set up XING Outlook Connector
If you have not yet downloaded the XING Outlook Connector, you can find the download here. After installing the program, you need to connect to your XING account.
- To do this, select the "View" tab, select the "Person area" and then select "Account settings".
- Please select XING there and log in as usual.
Integrate your XING contacts into Outlook
- After you have successfully connected your XING account to Outlook, a new folder for your XING contacts will be created directly in Outlook contacts. This gives you immediate access to the relevant contact details.
- You can send an e-mail sender who is not yet one of your XING contacts at any time, a contact request directly from Outlook and thus expand your XING network.
Track activity of your XING contacts in Outlook
- In the Outlook people area, which you can set up via "View / People area", you can find out when your XING contacts close new contacts or share a link - similar to the feed of your XING profile.
- This personal area can be reached via the respective contact details or in every email with the respective contact below the email text.
In another practical tip, we will tell you how you can use XING more successfully and do more with your profile.
