You can also rotate pictures with the pre-installed Microsoft Paint. In this article we show how this works and what restrictions there are.
Rotate images in MS Paint
Since Windows XP, Microsoft has continued to improve its in-house image editing program Paint. The tool now has all the basic editing functions. You can also rotate your pictures, among other things.
- To do this, open the desired photo in Microsoft Paint.
- Activate the "Start" tab at the top.
- In the "Image" section, click on the "Rotate" entry and select the desired direction. You can rotate your photo 90 or 180 degrees at a time.
- Finally, you can save the changes via "File"> "Save".
MS Paint: Rotate pictures as you like
Unfortunately, you can only rotate your pictures by 90 or 180 degrees with MS Paint. However, if you want to rotate your photos at any angle, you have to use a more extensive image editing tool such as Gimp or Paint.NET.
