In Paint.NET it is possible to let pictures run together. We show you this feature.
First: Layer images in Paint.NET
To make the images run one inside the other, you have to arrange the images in layers one above the other.
- Open an image in Paint.NET.
- Drag and drop the other one into Paint.NET and choose "Add Layer".
- The second image now overlaps the first. Press F7 to see the layers.
Add effect: let images merge
Now add the effect that makes your images merge.
- Select the upper level and use the "Color Grading" tool from the toolbox.
- Select "Linear" in the tool options and switch to the "transparency mode" (see picture) at the color wheel symbol.
- To make the images converge in the middle, click approximately in the middle of the image.
- Drag the "Gradient" in the direction in which the image should run.
Lastly: Adjust images in Paint.NET to each other
After adding a gradient to the first image, repeat the same process for the second image.
- Now select the lower level.
- Use the "Gradient" tool again - only this time in the opposite direction.
- Now adjust the color gradient to the first image.
- Finally, put the images together in the layer window.
