Paint.NET: change skin color - how it works
This guide shows you how you can change the skin color of a person with Paint.NET.
Change skin color with Paint.NET
- Open the image to be edited with Paint.NET.
- Press F7 to open the layer view and add a new layer.
- Double click on the newly created layer and select the "Overlay" mode. In addition, set the opacity control to around 160.
- Now paint over the skin with any color. Be sure to paint on the newly created layer, not on the photo.
- Use the zoom function on the skin edges. The tidier you work, the better the result.
- Add a motion blur of 5 using Effects and Blur & Blur.
- You can subsequently increase or decrease the opacity of the layer, depending on the desired color intensity. To do this, double-click on the level.
- Finally, merge the layers downwards using the layer window (F7).
