Paint.net: frame around font - how it works
In this practical tip, we explain how to use Paint.net to create a frame around a font.
Colored text frame in Paint.net - so go ahead
Create a new layer in Paint.net using the Layers window at the bottom right. You then create your lettering on this level.
- Now duplicate the created layer in the layer window. Remove the check mark from the newly created layer in the Layers window. So you only see the second original level.
- Select the original layer again.
- Change the color of the font using the trash can icon in the toolbar.
- You can now make the first level visible again. However, continue to select the second level and then go to "Effects" in the menu bar and then to "Blur and blur".
- Select the "Gaussian blur" and increase the radius until you are satisfied with the frame.
- Save the changes with "OK".
