Password protection in the Google Play Store - how it works
You should set up password protection so that you don't accidentally make app purchases with your smartphone in the Google Play Store. This also prevents someone else from accidentally debiting your account.
To set up password protection in the Google Play Store:
- First call up the "Play Store" via the app menu.
- Next, tap the menu button (the left softkey on Samsung phones) to open the settings window.
- Here tap on "Settings"
- Below the "User control" entry you will find the "Password" item. Tap on it and enter your password from your Google account. If you have forgotten your password, this practical tip will help you.
- Finally, tap the "OK" button. Make sure that the checkmark next to the "Password" item is set (see picture).
This practical tip shows you how to remove a credit card from the Google Play Store.
