PayPal - free of charge for most services
- If you open an account with PayPal, it is free of charge.
- In addition, PayPal is generally free of charge if you make a payment in euros.
- If you would like to pay in euros within Europe, this can be done free of charge with your bank account or PayPal credit.
- If you transfer money in another currency or outside Europe, you have to pay a fee. This depends on the source of payment, the recipient country and the respective currency.
Fees for selling with PayPal
If you offer PayPal as a payment method in your shop, you will have to pay transaction fees. We show you the fees for EU payments at a glance:
- If you receive a payment with PayPal, you pay 1.9 percent of the price plus 0.35 euros.
- The dealer conditions are possible according to the terms and conditions on request. You pay 1.7 percent and EUR 0.35 for amounts between 5, 000 to 25, 000 euros. From 25, 000 euros you pay 1.5 percent and 0.35 euros.
- PayPal charges 10 percent and 0.10 euros for micro payments.
- If you collect donations, PayPal will charge you 1.2 percent and 0.35 euros.
