Integrate PayPal into your own website - so it works
If you integrate PayPal into your website, you do not have to set up your own shop, but can avoid this with very few products. This practical tip shows you how to insert PayPal.
Integrate PayPal into website: The PayPal buttons
PayPal offers its customers a very easy way to pay: The so-called "PayPal button" can be integrated anywhere on your website. The button is provided by PayPal and can be adapted directly on the PayPal website and linked to your PayPal account.
- To do this, go to the PayPal donation button page. After clicking on "Create button now" a new window opens in which you can configure your button.
- First select a button type here. You can choose between "Donate", "Add to cart", "Buy now" and "Buy gift voucher". The button changes the label depending on the selection.
- Depending on the selection, you now enter various information such as your Internet address or a product name and a price - this will then appear on the PayPal payment page.
- In the "Customize button" window you can make various design changes or even set the link to your own button - very chic for web designers.
- Finally, you have to enter optional shipping costs and your PayPal email address to which the amount should be transferred.
- With a click on "Create button" PayPal generates an HTML code, which you can now integrate anywhere on your website.
Costs with the PayPal button
There are no fees when using the button - PayPal does, however, charge the normal transaction fees that would also apply to Ebay, for example. This is currently 1.9 percent of the input + 35 cents. The fees for donations are somewhat lower, here the PayPal share is 1.2 percent + 35 cents.
