PC takes a long time to boot: you can do that
If your PC takes a long time to start up, this can have many causes. We give you some tips to solve the problem.
PC starts up for a long time: Uninstall programs
Too many programs on your PC could be responsible for the slow startup.
- Go to the Windows Control Panel and click on "Uninstall a program".
- Uninstall unnecessary programs and especially tools that take up a lot of space.
- Alternatively: If you do not want to uninstall a program, enter the term "msconfig" in the search under "Start". Open the program that is found.
- A new window is opening up. Click here on "System start" and remove the checkmark for programs that should not be opened when Windows starts. So the PC can start up faster.
Other causes for slow start-up
There are other causes that lead to a long system start.
