If you want to read the hardware of your PC, you can do this in several ways. In this practical tip, we present three options.
Read out PC hardware with Windows
- Press the [Windows] and [R] keys simultaneously so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "msinfo32" here and confirm with "OK". The system information now opens.
- Here you get a detailed overview of the installed hardware. You will also find the associated drivers and services in the "Software Environment" category.
Windows: Read out PC hardware via software
- Alternatively, you can use a range of software. The free program HWiNFO32 provides you with a fairly clear and detailed list.
- The CPU-Z tool focuses primarily on the data of the installed CPU. Other important hardware is also listed here.
