Sync PC calendar with Android - how it works
The easiest way to synchronize your PC calendar and that of your Android smartphone is with Google's calendar. This is not only easy to access via your mobile phone, but also via the website.
Sync Android calendar app with Google
To synchronize with Google, you need a Google account and have to set up your Android smartphone accordingly:
- If you don't have a Google account yet, you can create a free account here.
- Go to //www.google.com/calendar/. When you visit this page for the first time, Google will give you a brief introduction to the system. Here you can enter your appointments to be synchronized.
- If you have not already done so, log in with your Google account on your smartphone: Open the settings, look for the heading "Accounts", click on "Add account", select "Google" and then enter yours User data.
- Return to Settings and click on "Google".
- Click the Google account you want to sync.
- Make sure that the "Calendar" checkbox is ticked.
- Open the calendar app on your smartphone, click on the three dots at the top right, select Settings and click on your Google account.
- Now you can select the calendars to be synchronized. From now on, all appointments that you create in the selected calendars are saved in the Google calendar and are therefore available on all devices - i.e. PC and Android phone or tablet.
Android 4.2 and the Android calendar app were used to set up the calendar on the smartphone, but it has remained almost unchanged since Android 4.0. User guidance may differ for device-specific Android calendar apps (ie preinstalled manufacturer apps from Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, etc.).
